June Message

We have arrived at the half mark of 2017. We Christians are on a quest or journey, however, our endeavours must be infused with God’s grace. As we continue the work that God has called us to, we can rest assured that HIS GRACE is sufficient. (2 Cor.12: 9)

As we continue this year, our year to receive our FULL inheritance, it is important to review the Vision that God has given Bible Faith Family of Churches, of Toronto and Durham.

We are committed to evangelism, teaching and to the development and use of gifts, talents and resources in the lives of Christians in the Greater Toronto Area.

The Bible outlines that without a vision there can be no achievement, as the parameters of success are not delineated, and the goal is not in focus.

Proverbs 29:18 says, Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law.

Additionally the Bible says that there must be unity and singleness of purpose to accomplish a shared goal.

Amos 3:3 - Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?

1 Cor.1:10 - Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

So we have taken these two foundational approaches to the vision that God has given Bible Faith Family of Churches.

They are:

  1. Reaching the lost or touching the untouched with the Gospel of Jesus Christ
  2. Teaching the saved or training the godly in righteousness

This is accomplished by presenting the gospel in word and action so that individuals willfully accept Jesus and are made complete in five important areas of life: Spirit, Soul, Body, Socially and Financially.

Let's briefly review each of the five areas.

2 Cor. 5:17 - Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (NKJ)

This is the most important of the five areas. We are born again by receiving the Word of God, who is JESUS, a divine person into our hearts. With HIM in our lives our faith will grow and not fail.

Romans 12:2 - And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (NKJ)

The soul is not the spirit. This process of changing our minds (soul) takes time and effort. One must review the Word of God and consider it before there can be a change in ones thinking. The process requires faith in action. The will is clearly involved

Isaiah 53:5 - But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. (NKJ)

It is the will of God that humanity remains free from sickness and disease. Jesus’ mission was to heal the sick therefore that should be our mission. It is through grace that people are healed.

Proverbs 16:7 - When a man's ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. (NKJ)

Finding favour or advantage with God means that you have favour with individuals so that even your enemies are not able to defeat you.

Psalm 35:27 - Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, "Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant." (NKJ)

God wants his servants and especially his children to be blessed financially. Since it is the will of God to prosper us, we have no excuse to not reach the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Remember to say the following aloud with conviction, “I’m believing to be at the Right Place, at the Right Time saying the Right Thing and the Right Thing to say is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
