November Message

This month as we remember the FREEDOM that we celebrate in this great country of Canada, we must also remember the FREEDOM we have as born-again Christians. We are created in the image and likeness of God.

1 Peter 3:4 - Rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.

The Bible says that God is Spirit and we must worship Him in spirit.

John 4:24 - For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

Psychology has termed the inner man, the real person, the hidden person of the heart: the sub-conscious mind. They recognize “conscious” as the voice of that inward personality. The Bible indicates that the natural person or the “conscious mind” does not and will not understand the things of God.

1 Corinthians 2:14 - But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

So we can reasonably conclude that the student of psychology, unless he or she is born-again, cannot fully understand humanity. The so-called subconscious mind, the real person or the hidden person of the heart is capable of truly being able to develop along spiritual lines just like the mind is capable of developing along intellectual lines.

The scripture that defines an individual is in 1 Thessalonians 5:23 where the Apostle Paul makes one of the clearest statements about the makeup of humanity. He says that God desires to sanctify the believer completely, spirit, soul and body. Your conscience is the voice of your spirit. It is the voice of the recreated spirit or the voice of the hidden man of the heart.

Once the spirit of an individual receives God’s eternal life, through the new birth, it can be trusted. It becomes the voice of the recreated spirit of the believer that is in contact with God. It becomes the voice of God to that individual. This along with God’s written Word (the Old and New Testament), the believer is given the opportunity to develop in God’s plan.

A believer can develop their spirit man so that in every situation of life, their spirit can get the will of the Father God for it. If the believer follows the leading of the Holy Spirit instead of relying on their own reasoning faculties, they will NOT make mistakes in life.

2 Corinthians 4:16 tells us not to lose heart as the outward man is decaying and the inner person is being renewed day by day. There is a continual flow of strength, health, and the nature of God to the hidden man of the heart. (1 Peter 3:4)

If you develop this inner man you can walk and enjoy all of the fruits of Eternal Life. Galatians 5:22 lists all of the nine fruits of the spirit that we can enjoy in our lives. Indeed they are part of our
inheritance. They are: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness and self-control.

Demonstrate the life of God that is in you this month of freedom by speaking from your recreated position that God has given you.  Remember 1 John 3:14 says that you “have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren.”

Remember to say the following out loud with conviction, “I’m believing to be at the right place, at the right time saying the right thing and the right thing to say is the Gospel of Jesus Christ”.
