September Message

Last month I asked this question: What business are you in?

We learned that we need to “Be about the Father‘s business—The business of Redemption.”

This month I want to talk about growing in the  Holiness that you received when you are Born Again.  Even though you are holy in your spirit, there is an element of growing or living in that holiness in the flesh.

God’s Word makes us holy. When the written Word takes root in our lives, it causes us to live holy, as we are doers of that Word.

You need to realize that you have been called to be holy. God want you to live a holy life. In fact, 1 Thes. 4:7 says: For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness.

Paul the Apostle writing to the believers in Rome said in Romans 1:7 - To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • The word ‘saints’ means holy ones.
  • To be Christ-like in your thoughts, attitudes, and conduct is to be holy. Notice the following verse.
  • 1 Peter 1:15 - ...but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,
  • Holiness is Christ-likeness penetrating every area of your life.

There are three parts to consecrating and dedicating your life to Him.

  1. Deny yourself. Set aside your own natural interests and desires.
  1. Pick up your cross. Be willing to take up the interests and desires of the Lord Jesus, at any cost.
  1. Remember to say the following out loud with sincere conviction,

“I’m  believing to be at the Right Place, at the Right Time saying the Right Thing and the right thing to say is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

These things involve laying down your life and picking up His life.

Matt 16:25 - "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

This growing-up takes time just as natural growth takes time.  However, the rewards are tremendous and you have been called to this “Higher Life” and “Deeper Walk” with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Remember to say the following out loud with sincere conviction, “I’m  believing to be at the Right Place, at the Right Time saying the Right Thing and the right thing to say is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
